Requirements for Taxi drivers

Dear Driver,

On January 1, 2021, new regulations on the transport of passengers entered into force. Below you will find a list of requirements that must be met to become an Uber/Bolt/Free Now driver.

If you want to cooperate with us, you will need to complete the required documents described below. Without this process, it is not possible to start your adventure with the transport of people using applications. See each step below.

1. One of the requirements is a valid medical and psychological examination.

When contacting the clinic, the driver should ask for a "taxi driver examination", and take the following with him for the examinations:

• Identity card (passport or ID card)
• Driving license
• Prescription glasses (if using)

Medical examinations are necessary to obtain an extract from our taxi license.

2. Vehicle preparation.

Step 1: Technical examination of the taxi at the vehicle inspection station.

Before you go to the vehicle inspection station, remember to equip the car with the necessary elements:

• A taxi lamp that meets the requirements
• warning triangle,
• Vest
• Fire extinguisher
• First aid kit
• Spare wheel
• A phone with the Uber/Bolt/Free Now mobile app installed.

The cost of the taxi inspection is PLN 43. Remember that the lack of a taximeter in the vehicle cannot be the basis for a negative result of such a test.

Step 2: Stamp the taxi in the vehicle registration document.

After the inspection at the diagnostic station, go to the communication department where your vehicle was registered to get a taxi stamp in your ID. You will need a certificate obtained from a diagnostic station, a vehicle registration document and a vehicle card.

Step 3: An extract from the partner's taxi license and driver's ID.

Will be needed:

• Vehicle registration document with taxi stamp (front/back) - original.
• A document confirming the legal title to use the vehicle - a vehicle rental agreement with a partner or a vehicle lending agreement (with the owner from the registration document).
• Consent of the vehicle owner (in the proof) for use as a TAXI. If it is a lease, the consent must also include "for third parties" (or specifically Appjobs).
• If the co-owner is entered in the document, also his consent to the use of the vehicle as a TAXI by third parties (or specifically Appjobs).
• Medical examinations, psychological original available for inspection.
• Driver's clean criminal record (physical from the court or electronic - flash drive/disc) - not older than 30 days. You don't have Polish citizenship? you will also need a clean criminal record from your country; original + sworn translation.
• Passport photo of the driver for the ID card in dimensions 35×45 mm*.

To obtain a copy of the license and ID, contact us for a power of attorney to submit the required documents yourself, or deliver the documents to us, we will do the rest.

Official fees are:

• power of attorney – PLN 17 (only if you apply on your own)
• extract from the license for your vehicle - PLN 22

After obtaining the extract, remember to mark the vehicle in accordance with local requirements, i.e. car wrapping* according to regulations of a given city - coat of arms, side number (uber, bolt logos are not necessary).

*some cities allow magnets instead of stickers or other type of signage that does not require permanent display, ask when collecting your statement what it looks like in your city.

Will I have to set up a company and get a license?

No, the general scheme of cooperation remains the same as before: (Application -> Partner -> Driver), only the conditions change.

Of course, b2b cooperation is still possible on the existing terms.

Can I accept cash?

Yes, we are equipped with cash registers, so as a driver, you can also accept cash rides. You can read more about this on the Uber, Bolt and Free Now apps.
